主要从事金属-有机框架(MOF)及其衍生物的功能导向构筑及性质研究。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目2项及青年项目1项、天津市自然科学基金青年项目1项。作为研究骨干参与国家自然科学基金重点项目1项及面上项目1项、天津市自然科学基金重点项目1项。

在金属-有机框架(MOF)及其衍生物的吸附分离、发光、能源存储等功能导向构筑及性质研究方面取得了系列成果,已发表SCI论文90余篇,其中7篇论文入选ESI高被引论文,H指数34。获2018年度天津市自然科学特等奖(第二完成人),入选第四批天津市创新人才推进计划“青年科技优秀人才”、2017年度天津市“131”创新型人才培养工程第三层次人选。
